The Bozeman Area Community Foundation Board of Directors has temporarily suspended grant making from the Foundation's general fund in 2009. The Foundation's annual grant cycle will resume in the Fall of 2010. Please check back for further information.

Contact Bozeman Area Community Foundation

Jayce Hoyt (President) is Director of Risk Management for Cash Grain Bids Inc., a new technology company in Bozeman. A graduate of Iowa State University, Mr. Hoyt has researched agricultural production and marketing systems in Russia and Eastern Europe. He was Vice-President of the Austin Association of Financial Traders from 2001 to 2006, and is a past Committee Chair for the Austin Fine Arts Festival. He was a volunteer for five or more years for both Austin City Limits and South by Southwest (SXSW), and was nominated for Austin Volunteer of the Year in 2006.

Gayle Hokanson, CPA (Vice President) is also an MSU accounting graduate. She is a Montana native and has lived in Bozeman since 1972.

Catherine ("Cathi") Simonson (Treasurer) is an MSU accounting graduate, a Bozeman resident since 1984 and owner of CS and Company - Accountants.

Jack Fisher (Secretary) holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of California at Berkeley. He is an Associate Professor of Anthropology at MSU and is a life long resident of Bozeman.

Lee Cannon holds an MS in Electrical Engineering from MSU, is an inventor on a couple dozen patents, and is now retired except for some consulting. He is an engineer/manager/entrepreneur having been involved in the startup of two technology companies, each of which reached about 400 employees in Bozeman

Molly Pickall serves as the Yellowstone Park Foundation's Projects & Grants Manager and has lived in Bozeman since 2006. Molly also volunteers as the Advocacy Director for the Gallatin Valley Bicycle Club.

J. Colleen Herrington practices law at the Wittich Law Firm, PC. In addition, she holds a Masters of Professional Accountancy from Montana State University. Since Colleen moved to Bozeman in 2005, she has volunteered with a number of organizations including Hatchfest and the Intermountain Opera Association and is also a member of Bozeman Business and Professional Women.

Katie Stevenson graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 2004 with a degree in Psychology. She immediately moved west and found a passion working for a nonprofit in Jackson, WY, where she lived and worked for six years. As a new resident to the Bozeman area, Katie enjoys giving back to the non-profit community and has recently started a photography and marketing small business with her fiance.

Steve Hample, CFP (Finanacial Advisor) holds a doctorate from MSU where he taught various classes in mathematics, education and finance. He owns a financial planning office and a trust company and first moved to the Bozeman area in 1971.

Lauren Peck (Consultant) was a member of the Chicago Board of Trade for 15 years. She also worked as an account executive for a Chicago financial firm for 5 years. She worked in the nonprofit sector in the Chicago area for 10 years. She is now is a Registered Representative and Financial Advisor with KMS Financial Services, Inc.
