This morning, I grabbed a cup of coffee and opened my Inbox to start reviewing my emails.
The usual suspects: bill, appointment, bill, advertisement. Meeting reminder.
We recently funded a project a purpose-built, sloping bicycle display rack to showcase their refurbished bicycles that are distributed to citizens of Bozeman and the Gallatin Valley community through our “Earn-a-Bike” and “Community Cycles” programs. The bicycles are available for free or at low cost to to anyone with no restrictions on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or economic status. It eliminates quality product from entering the waste stream and the riding of a bicycle promotes good health.
This morning, Sam Heraldson from the Bozeman Bike Kitchen wrote us an email that we love to read:
On behalf of the Bike Kitchen I wanted to share with you the first victory in the funding that BACF shared with our organization. We received the 3-tier bike rack that your funds matched and last evening one of our volunteer staffer along with some Bike Kitchen visitors set it up for the first time. We will be officially unveiling it to the public next Thursday, May 15th from 4pm until 8pm at our Grand Re-Opening Celebration. We would be delighted if anyone related to the BACF wished to come visit with our all volunteer Board and Staff, as well as to take a tour. Sharing in these victories with the nonprofit community is what a Community Foundation is all about. We succeed when the nonprofit succeeds! It’s truly a privilege to walk alongside people in our community who care so deeply about serving the Bozeman area to insure that we are making it a better place for generations to come.
